Privacy protection at ParkkiPate

If your request regarding privacy protection concerns, for example, reclamation handling or surveillance photos taken of your vehicle, you can see the reclamation you made and all surveillance photos taken of your car in real time in our reclamation system. You can log into the reclamation system with your car's registration number and the number of the inspection fee you received.

Our company takes the processing of personal data very seriously across all operations. We process the personal data of our clients, job seekers and personnel. We process personal data in relation to parking and parking control services. We receive this data from our clients or personnel. Personal data is also obtained from various public records.

As a rule, we process personal data as a data controller as referred to in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We process personal data based on existing legislation. The legal bases for processing the data are enforcing an agreement, our legal obligations or our legitimate interest. If you have individually approved the processing of your personal data, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time.

In order to protect our processing of personal data, we have taken protective measures that comply with privacy protection legislation. For highly sensitive personal data, we apply stricter processing procedures than usual. We may need to process such personal data for purposes such as the presentation of legal claims before a court.

We operate in Finland and do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Personal data is mainly disclosed to authorities. Our employees may access your personal data to the extent necessary for performing their duties. All our employees are committed to maintaining professional secrecy regarding any information they obtain in the course of their work.

We will store your personal data for as long as is necessary. The duration of the storage period is determined according to the legal basis for processing personal data. Once the legal basis for processing personal data is no longer valid, the data will be deleted in their entirety and will no longer be available in any of our databases. When processing your personal data, we will not process the data by means of automated decision-making as specified in the General Data Protection Regulation.

If you wish to access or rectify your personal data, restrict the processing of your data, request your data to be erased, transmit your data to another controller or otherwise object to the processing of your data, please complete the request form on our website or contact us through any other channel of your choice, for example by emailing us at tietosuoja@parkkipate.fi. In our view, our processing of your personal data will not cause you any unusual adverse consequences.

In the case of a breach of security, we will immediately act pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation in order to minimise the threat to your personal data. First and foremost, we inform the Data Protection Ombudsman of the breach. You have the right to contact the Data Protection Ombudsman if you believe we have not processed your personal data in an appropriate manner.
